We take data protection seriously

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy when processing personal data is a top priority for us. When you visit our website, our web servers automatically log your Internet service provider’s IP address, the website from which you accessed our site, the pages you visit on our site, as well as the date and duration of your visit. This information is absolutely necessary for the technical transmission of the web pages and secure server operation. This data is not analyzed in a way that identifies you personally.

If you send us data via the contact form, this data will be stored on our servers as part of our data backup procedures. We use your data exclusively to process your inquiry. Your data will be treated as strictly confidential. It will not be disclosed to third parties.

Personal Data

Personal data is information about you. This includes your name, address, and email address. You are not required to provide any personal data to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address, as well as additional information, to provide you with the service you request.

The same applies if we provide you with informational materials upon request or if we respond to your inquiries. We will always notify you in these cases. Furthermore, we only store the data that you have provided to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use one of our services, we generally collect only the data necessary to provide you with that service. We may ask you for additional information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically Stored Non-Personal Data

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information includes:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • Page from which the file was requested
  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • Web browser and operating system used
  • Full IP address of the requesting computer
  • Amount of data transferred

This data is not combined with data from other sources. The processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

For technical security reasons, particularly to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data temporarily. We are unable to identify individual users based on this data. After no more than seven days, the data is anonymized by truncating the IP address to the domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a connection to an individual user. In anonymized form, the data is also processed for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data sets or disclosed to third parties, even in part.

Contact Form

If you contact us via the contact form, we will store the information you provide in the form—including the contact information you enter there—for the purpose of processing your inquiry and any follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, provided that your inquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries directed to us (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR) if such consent was requested; you may revoke your consent at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected.

Security

We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, tampering, and unauthorized access. All of our employees and service providers working on our behalf are bound by applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before being transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process, and our privacy policies are regularly updated. Please ensure that you have the most recent version.

Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right at any time to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your stored data, the right to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability and the right to file a complaint in accordance with the provisions of data protection law.

Right of Access:

You may request information from us regarding whether and to what extent we process your data.

Right to Rectification:

If we process your data and it is incomplete or inaccurate, you may request that we rectify or complete it at any time.

Right to Erasure:

You may request that we erase your data if we are processing it unlawfully or if the processing disproportionately interferes with your legitimate interests. Please note that there may be reasons that prevent immediate erasure, such as legally mandated retention obligations.

Regardless of whether you exercise your right to erasure, we will erase your data promptly and in full, provided that no contractual or statutory retention obligations prevent us from doing so.

Right to Restriction of Processing:

You may request that we restrict the processing of your data if

  • you contest the accuracy of the data, for a period that allows us to verify the accuracy of the data,
  • the processing of the data is unlawful, but you object to erasure and instead request a restriction on the use of the data,
  • we no longer need the data for the intended purpose, but you still need it to assert or defend legal claims, or
  • you have objected to the processing of the data.

Right to Data Portability:

You may request that we provide you with the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and that you be able to transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from us, provided that

  • we process this data based on your revocable consent or to fulfill a contract between us, and
  • this processing is carried out using automated means. If technically feasible, you may request that we transfer your data directly to another data controller.

Right to Object:

If we process your data based on a legitimate interest, you may object to this data processing at any time; this would also apply to profiling based on these provisions. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. You may object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes at any time without providing a reason.

Right to File a Complaint:

If you believe that we are violating German or European data protection laws in the processing of your data, please contact us so that we can address your concerns. You also have the right, of course, to contact the supervisory authority with jurisdiction over you—the relevant State Office for Data Protection Supervision.

If you wish to exercise any of the rights mentioned above, please contact our Data Protection Officer. In case of doubt, we may request additional information to verify your identity.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend our privacy policies should new technologies make this necessary. Please ensure that you have the most recent version. If fundamental changes are made to this privacy policy, we will announce them on our website.
